Longdan supermarket in Crawley celebrated the Grand Opening Event on 26 June 2022

Longdan Crawley’s Grand opening celebrated Vietnam Goods & Gastronomy Festival on 26 June 2022. A wide range of products including handicraft products, coffee, fresh fruit, dried fruit, rice paper and vermicelli. Furthermore, reputable Vietnamese exporters were also present at the event.

Attending the opening ceremony was The Vietnamese Ambassador Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long; Mr. Nguyen Canh Cuong.Vietnam Trade Office in the UK; Mr. Phuong Hoang. Chairman of VBUK; Mr. Huynh Xuan Long, Chairman of Longdan Group. As well as representatives of the local community, retail businesses in the agricultural trade, Vietnamese businesses in the UK and UK customers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long hoped that the 2022 Vietnamese Food and Goods Week program in the UK would not only introduce Vietnamese products and cuisine to local consumers, but also promote them. Spread Vietnamese culture, country and people to British people. He also expressed his hope that Vietnamese businesses in the UK like Longdan will be the bridge for more and more Vietnamese products to reach British consumers.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Cuong, Counselor, Vietnam Trade Office in the UK, said that the program attracted the attention of many British retailers and consumers, with 300 guests attending on the first day of the event. Mr. Nguyen Canh Cuong expects the program to have a ripple effect throughout the UK. Huynh Xuan Long said that as a supermarket selling Vietnamese and Asian goods, Longdan has a lot of British customers, which reflects the local people's demand for Vietnamese goods. He emphasized that it is important for Vietnamese businesses to properly grasp this demand and export products that are suitable to the requirements and tastes of British consumers.
